What is a Sworn Translator?

Pursuant to Act 20,305, a Sworn Translator is a professional whose duty is to translate to the national language documents submitted in foreign languages (and vice versa) before public, judicial or administrative agencies of the National Government or the Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. In addition, his services may be requested by the private sector for the translation of written material requiring professional responsibility and a high standard of training and specialization.

It is the only professional certified and qualified to act as an interpreter and translator at a Court of Law.
